Pooling Efforts to Promote the Protection of the Rule of Law for High-Quality Development of the Marine Economy—Launch of the “Maritime Law Protecting Enterprises and Joint Governance with Enterprises’ Compliance” Brand and the “Qingdao Legal Experts Face-to-Face with Enterprises” Event

　　On May 11, the launch ceremony for the “Maritime Law Protecting Enterprises and Joint Governance with Enterprises’ Compliance” Brand and the “Qingdao Legal Experts Face-to-Face with Enterprises” Event was held at Qingdao Maritime Court. Cheng Dezhi, Standing Member of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Chairman of the Qingdao Law Society, and Leader of the “Qingdao Legal Experts” service team, attended the ceremony and engaged in the symposium with representatives of enterprises and service team members. Wu Jinbiao, Vice Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and President of Qingdao Maritime Court, also attended the ceremony and participated in the symposium.

　　The symposium introduced the work carried out by Qingdao Maritime Court in optimizing the legal-based business environment and providing services and guarantees for foreign-related maritime enterprises to “go global”, as well as the achievements made in these areas. The symposium emphasized the need to leverage the platform advantages of the “Qingdao Legal Experts” service team, pool efforts from multiple parties, accurately identify the needs of enterprises, proactively extend the service chain, and meticulously build the “Maritime Law Protecting Enterprises and Joint Governance with Enterprises’ Compliance” brand. This initiative aims to support foreign-related maritime enterprises in operating and managing on the track of legalization, thereby collectively promoting the protection of the rule of law for high-quality development of the marine economy.

　　The meeting stressed that Qingdao Maritime Court must adhere to serving the overall situation, closely focus on the center work of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Government, further integrate into and serve the grand blueprint of creating a “leading modern marine city”, make full use of the rule of law method and the power of the rule of law, help the Qingdao practice of Chinese path to modernization construction. Qingdao Maritime Court must adhere to justice for the people, focus on the needs of enterprises and entrepreneurs, accurately provide diversified legal services, continue to optimize the allocation of production factors, promote the development of new quality productive forces with a first-class law-based business environment, and create broad development space for all types of market players. Qingdao Maritime Court must adhere to undertaking for the rule of law, rely on the work mechanism of the “Qingdao Legal Experts ”service team, reform and innovate service means around the construction of Qingdao Central Legal Affairs District, the whole chain service of foreign-related enterprises, and the diversified resolution of foreign-related disputes, coordinate the domestic rule of law and foreign-related rule of law, and promote the deep integration of the “rule of law dividend” and “policy dividend”.

　　On the ceremony, appointment letters were presented to the specially invited liaisons of the initiative of “Maritime Law Protecting Enterprises and Joint Governance with Enterprises’ Compliance” from Guoshu Information Technology Co., Ltd., Qingjian Group, Hiking Group, Shandong Port Group, Shandong Shipping Corporation, Qingdao Shipping Service Industry Association, and Qingdao International Freight Forwarders Association. Representatives from the attending enterprises and the “Qingdao Legal Experts” service team engaged in discussions and exchanges on promoting high-quality development of the marine economy, preventing operational risks for foreign-related and marine-related enterprises, and improving enterprise compliance management. They also put forward opinions and suggestions.
