Qingdao Free Trade Zone High-End Shipping Service Talent Training Base Officially Launched

　　On September 7, Qingdao Free Trade Zone High-End Shipping Service Talent Training Base officially launched at Qingdao Harbour Vocational and Technical College. The opening ceremony was attended by Guo Baocun, the member of the Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Qingdao Free Trade Zone; Zhang Dongqing, the member of the Party Group of Qingdao Maritime Court and head of the Discipline Inspection Team of Qingdao Maritime Court; Xu Guowang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Port Vocational Education Group; and Chen Haibo, Distinguished Deputy Dean of Shanghai Maritime University Qingdao Institute. Representatives from key enterprises and all students of the “Set Sail Class” also attended the ceremony.

　　Talent is the primary resource and driving force for achieving high-quality development in the port and shipping industry. It is also the cornerstone of competitiveness and advancement in building an international shipping center within the Free Trade Zone. Qingdao Maritime Court has consistently focused on strengthening the development of legal talent specializing in foreign-related shipping. In collaboration with Qingdao Free Trade Zone, Shanghai Maritime University, Shandong Province Port and Shipping Association, and relevant universities and enterprises, the court is exploring a new “Government-University-Port-Enterprise-Association” model for the joint cultivation of talent in the shipping service industry

　　The training base, organized by Shandong Port Vocational Education Group, launched its first training program, which includes two groups: the “Set Sail Class” and the “Long Voyage Class”, comprising four training sessions in total. Expert judges will be assigned to deliver specialized lectures on legal affairs and industry hot topics. This initiative aims to support the creation of a talent hub in the shipping service industry through high-quality foreign-related maritime justice.

　　In the next step, Qingdao Maritime Court and Qingdao Free Trade Zone will make full use of the training base to continue advancing talent development efforts. They will focus on optimizing the structure of high-end shipping talent and highlight the role of talent in driving the high-quality development of the port and shipping industry.
