The only achievement in the category of rule of law! The Maritime Judicial Library series was selected as one of the achievements of Shandong’s maritime development.

　　In order to fully demonstrate the major initiatives, significant results and representative achievements of Shandong Province and seven coastal cities in promoting the construction of a strong marine province, on 24th October, the exhibition of the achievements of  marine development of Shandong Province was opened in the International Exhibition Centre of Qingdao World Expo City, Qingdao West Coast New District. The series Maritime Judicial Library of Qingdao Maritime Court was selected as the only achievement in the category of rule of law.

　　Theme Innovation and Exhibition Area Design with Different Characteristics

　　As a featured activity held in conjunction with the 2024 Marine Cooperation and Development Forum, this exhibition adopted the mode of “1+7+N”, with one exhibition area with the theme of Shandong Province, seven coastal-city-featured exhibition areas and a number of marine-industry-featured exhibition areas. The total square of the exhibition was about 4,000 square meters.

　　The theme of the main exhibition featuring Shandong Province is “When the Tide Rises from the East, Shandong is Becoming Stronger on the Ocean”. The exhibition focused on the organic series demonstration of the five core aspects as marine economy, marine ecology, marine ports, marine science and technology, and marine foreign co-operation . Among them, the aspect of marine economy focused on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the accelerated development of new industries. The aspect of marine ecology showed Shandong’s strong measures to build “Clear Water and Green Mountains”on the sea and draw a beautiful picture of “Harmonious Coexistence between Humans and the Ocean”. The aspect of marine port highlighted the construction of port clusters and the high-tech development results of smart ports had been fully demonstrated. The aspect of marine science and technology focused on the demonstration of the development achievements in marine science and technology talents and major scientific and technological innovation platform, which highlighted the engine power of “Blue Science and Technology” of Shandong; The aspect of marine foreign cooperation demonstrated the vivid practice of Shandong Province of promoting the opening-up and cooperation of ocean by building a high-level international cooperation platform and carrying out a number of major international events.

　　The exhibitions of seven coastal cities had all set characterized themes: The exhibition of Qingdao was “The Guide of Science and Technology to the Ocean”, the exhibition of Dongying was “The flow of Yellow River into the Sea and Ecological Dongying”, the exhibition of Yantai was “Wonderland Coast and High Quality of Yantai”, the exhibition of Weifang was “Stronger on the Ocean and Better Weifang”, the exhibition of Weihai was “Exquisite City and Happy Weihai”, the exhibition of Rizhao was “Sunny Coast and Energetic Rizhao”, and the exhibition of Binzhou was “Shore of the Bohai Sea and the State of the Yellow River”, which were all distinctive and brilliant.

　　Through elaborate layout arrangement and creative design, each exhibition area adopted diversified methods such as graphic display boards, video images and physical models for centralised display. The exhibitions with the themes of seven coastal cities were designed according to the characteristics, advantages and effectiveness of the marine development of each city, and they were intertwined to show the outstanding achievements of the high-quality marine development of each city.

　　Rich Variety and Dazzling Exhibits of Physical Objects

　　What caught people’s eyes was that this exhibition highlighted the proportion of physical exhibits, with a total of about 360 pieces of representative physical models in the marine field, involving offshore equipment, fishery breeding equipment, precision instruments and meters, ships, biomedicine, desalination and other categories.

　　The SCIENCE, JIAOLONG and other national major scientific and technological infrastructure for national marine scientific research and resource exploration provided important support. The exhibition of CULTIVATING SEA NO.1, GUOXIN NO.1, DEEP BLUE NO.1, JINGHAI and other series of large-scale aquaculture equipment physical models reflected China’s mariculture from the near shore to the deep and distant sea from a variety of perspectives. LANKUN NO.1, LANJING NO.1 and other offshore equipment demonstrated the strength and style of Shandong’s craftsmanship spirit and scientific and technological power to dream of the ocean. China’s first nuclear energy zero-carbon heating demonstration project with completely independent intellectual property rights - NUANHE NO.1, “Electricity+Chemistry” coupled development of the marine green circular economy industry chain -BEIKUN PLAN, all highlight the achievements of Shandong's efforts to promote the iterative upgrading of the marine industry and the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the industry. For the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the original research and development of a new class of marine drugs GV-971, as well as the international first immune anti-tumor marine polysaccharide drugs “BG136” and other biomedical science and technology transformation results in Shandong were also debut in the exhibition, unveiling the secret of the “Blue Pharmacy” in Shandong. A batch of physical models on display could be observed, felt, seen, touched so that visitors could immerse in the experience of the actual achievements of Shandong’s surging blue kinetic energy through new quality productivity.

　　During the exhibition, sea-related authorities and relevant scientific research institutions, industry associations, experts and scholars, sea-related enterprises and other groups participated in the exhibition, which better fulfilled the role of the event in building a bridge for multi-channel exchanges and co-operation.
