Wang Ailing, the most beautiful judge in Shandong: Ride the wind and cleave the waves to the far

On the evening of June 29, the second ceremony of "The most beautiful Judge in Shandong" was held jointly by the Propaganda Department of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, Shandong High People's Court, Dazhong News Group and Shandong Radio and TV Station, and hosted by Shandong Radio and TV Station's Convergence Media Information Center. Wang Ailing, director of the Research Office of Qingdao Maritime Court, was awarded the second "the most beautiful judge in Shandong".

Wang Ailing, female, born in December 1975, Han nationality, graduated from the Law School of Renmin University of China in July 1999 with a postgraduate degree. She has been assigned to work in Qingdao Maritime Court. Now, she is the secretary of the second party branch, director of the Research Office, and a third-class senior judge. In 2009 and 2010, she was awarded the second-class personal merit for two consecutive times. In 2014, she was rated as an advanced individual in the national maritime trial of courts, in 2019, she was named as the firstly provincial trial expert of courts, and in 2021, she was named as the advanced individual of national foreign-related commercial and maritime trial of courts. As the first public student sent to the City University of Hong Kong to study for a master's degree in common law, she won a first-class scholarship and won honors for mainland judges. At the third National Conference on Foreign-related Commercial and Maritime Adjudication, Wan exiang, the vice president of the Supreme People's Court, called maritime judges across the country to learn from Wang ailing and strive to be a "learning judge".

Wang Ailing has been engaged in maritime trial for more than 20 years. She has undertaken many major, difficult and complicated cases without any petition or complaint. She focuses on innovating trial models, undertook the first internet trial which solved the difficulty of collecting evidence across borders, and the case that British expert witness testified remotely, that promoted the integration of maritime trials and internet.

Wang Ailing has strong ability to investigate and her achievements is outstanding. The judicial documents and typical cases written by her have won the first, second and third prizes and excellent awards for 15 times in the courts of the province and the country. Six cases have been selected into the Annual cases of Chinese courts, the Selected cases of People's courts, and the typical cases of servicing the Belt and Road, optimizing the business environment and equally protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese and foreign parties. These cases are also transmitted on Learning Power. What’s more, she has written and translated more than 50 papers and case study reports, which have been published in many journals such as People's Judicature, Journal of Law Application, China Maritime Safety, China Maritime Trial, Arbitration and law, Annual of China Maritime Law, and China's Foreign Trade.
